@easternred1 isn’t it impossible to put the reverse thruster while in flight?
What a stupid comment about reversing thrust before landing, there is no way possible that you can thrust reverse before touching down!
I guess you had to be there.
Its the fact the the runway is short and its a lot of hard breaking. Not like an international airport landing where the plane lands very smoothly.
@yamahabluesman Nothing that I could see. Looked like a normal day in Skiathos to me.
@iceflyevents Correct-the thrust reversal interlock doesn’t open until you are on the ground and the thrust levers (throttles on a Boeing…I’m an Airbus boy!) are idle. Unless these two conditions are met you can’t select reverse.

They wouldn’t have used reverse thrust in the air. What you heard are the Spoilers which are panels that pop up on the top of the wings which causes drag – slowing the aircraft down.

a 757, thats pretty much a suicide mission!!!!!!
They reversed the thrust just before landing and also to slow down with braking. This has also happened when i went to Zante.
